Due
to their size, white-tailed deer are the most conspicuous animals
in the Pinelands. Deer may be most frequently seen browsing on vegetation
during early morning hours, around sunrise, and in the evening just
before dusk. Other sightings may occur as you drive along any Pine
Barrens road. Sometimes two or three of them will leap across the
road and disappear into the woods.
