Each
year thousands of waterfowl migrate to this area of South Jersey.
In the Spring, as many species of birds return here as a stopover
or to nest. The area is a birdwatchers paradise.
One highlight easily seen from the
road is the return each March of the Osprey. A number of Osprey
towers have been erected along the pennisula including a nest usually
occupied by a pair of nesting Ospreys.
