are a wide variety of insects that are native to the New Jersey
Pinelands. Many insects are extremely valuable to humankind.Bees
and other insects make possible much of the food we eat through
pollination. Blueberry and cranberry farmers make good use of these
industrious bees. Of course, some insects like the deer fly, greenhead
fly , and mosquito are pests. Others like the dragonfly and water
striders are magnificent creatures to observe.
